As Colorado Clivia Company's collection continues to grow and develop, each blooming season brings lots of anticipation and excitment. 2018 was another step forward. As plants mature, their blossoms often get bigger, more colorful, and better. This year because of a warmer than normal winter, blooming came two to three weeks early. And instead of the the usual March 1st peak, intense blooming really got started the second week of February and continued until the first week of March. There were new colors, varieties blooming for the first time, and many existing plants presenting even better blossoms than last year. In addition to the old standards, new light peaches, special pinks, and pastel surprises were added to the list of keepers.
Presented here are some of the best images from this season. Each photo is labeled with the Plant Number and Variety. Sometimes the Variety Name does not seem to match the flower's color, etc. That is just the way breeding with Clivias works sometimes.
Because of the number of 2018 photos needed to be presented, the gallery has been divided into two volumes. Volume 1 is presented here and Volume 2 can be accessed by clicking here.
